(NewsNation) — A publicist for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has left just four months after being hired, the tenth publicist to leave the royal couple in five years.
Emily Robinson, director of communications, joined the team working for Prince Harry, 41, and his wife, Meghan, 44, in May.
Formerly with Netflix, Robinson worked on publicity for “The Crown,” including seasons with controversial storylines like Harry’s Nazi costume and a depiction of Princess Diana speaking to the queen. She also worked for History and Discovery channels.
Robinson’s departure came weeks after a video of Meghan riding in a car through Paris sparked backlash from critics, who claimed she had filmed herself near the tunnel where Diana died.
Robinson reportedly left the role of her own accord.
She is not the first communications staffer to leave the team in recent years.
Two former publicists, James Holt and Miranda Bardot, were promoted to non-PR-related roles. Previous head of communications Ashley Hansen left to start her own firm, and previous press officers Kyle Bouli and Charlie Gipson also left the team.
Two communications staffers, Liam Maguire and Meredith Maines, remain in their roles.
