Netflix and Meghan Markle Part Ways on Lifestyle Show
Meghan Markle’s foray into lifestyle television with Netflix has reportedly come to an end. According to sources speaking to Page Six, her series “With Love, Meghan” will not be returning for a third season.
The show, which offered viewers a peek into the Duchess of Sussex’s home life, featuring cooking, gardening, and crafting segments, launched as part of the couple’s multi-year deal with the streaming giant. While the exact reasons for the cancellation are not officially confirmed, the move suggests a strategic shift in how Meghan and Prince Harry’s production company, Archewell, is approaching its content.
A Shift to “Bite-Sized” Content
One source indicated that fans shouldn’t expect the format to disappear entirely. Instead, the kind of content seen on “With Love, Meghan” is likely to migrate to Meghan’s own social media channels, particularly in support of her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
“People will see similar cooking and crafting on Meghan’s socials for the brand, but more bite-sized,” the source told Page Six. This pivot suggests a move away from long-form episodic television toward shorter, more frequent social media updates that can directly engage with her audience and promote her commercial ventures.
The Broader Archewell Netflix Deal
It’s important to note that the end of “With Love, Meghan” does not necessarily signal the end of the Sussexes’ overall partnership with Netflix. The couple’s deal has already yielded the docuseries “Harry & Meghan” and the “Live to Lead” inspirational series. Prince Harry is also reportedly working on other projects, including a series about polo and a show with a focus on Invictus Games athletes.
The decision appears to reflect an evolution in their content strategy. By moving certain types of personal, lifestyle-focused projects to platforms they control directly, like Instagram, Meghan can cultivate her brand with more agility. Meanwhile, their Netflix partnership may focus on larger documentary projects and series with broader, pre-sold concepts.
As of now, neither Netflix nor representatives for Archewell have publicly commented on the future of “With Love, Meghan.” For fans of the show’s cozy aesthetic, the promise of “bite-sized” versions on social media may offer some consolation, marking a new chapter in the Duchess’s post-royal media presence.
