NBA star Charles Barkley opening steakhouse & cigar lounge in Pennsylvania

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (WHTM) — A Pennsylvania-based casino and resort announced it has teamed up with NBA Hall of Famer and sports analyst Charles Barkley to create a new steakhouse and cigar lounge.

The Valley Forge Casino Resort, which is situated at 1160 1st Avenue in King of Prussia, Pa., has announced a new partnership with former 76ers NBA star Charles Barkley.

According to Boyd Gaming (owner of Valley Forge Casino Resort), with Barkley by their side they will be creating a new unique steakhouse and cigar lounge experience at the casino.

“The Philadelphia area has always felt like home to me, and I’m thrilled to bring something new to a community that’s played such a big part in my life,” Charles Barkley explained. “We’re creating a spot that’s fun, comfortable, and full of personality. I want it to be the kind of place where people can unwind, share a great meal and feel that same energy and connection that make this community so special.”

Boyd Gaming says this new steakhouse at the Valley Forge Casino Resort will fuse contemporary elegance with nods to Barkley’s successful NBA career, featuring personal memorabilia and design elements that celebrate his character and ties to Philadelphia.

This new establishment will also feature a Humidor cigar lounge with a club-like atmosphere, boasting a walk-in humidor that is complemented by private lockers and a bar.

“Charles Barkley’s personality, charisma and love for Philadelphia make him an incredible partner, and we are incredibly honored to have the opportunity to bring his vision to life at Valley Forge Casino Resort,” Martha Morales, Vice President and General Manager of Valley Forge Casino Resort said.

In addition to the steakhouse and cigar lounge, this collaboration will include an annual contribution to The Charles Barkley Foundation by Boyd Gaming.

No opening date for the new steakhouse experience has yet to be shared.

Valley Forge Casino Resort is and all-inclusive gaming destination that offers a 36,000 square foot gaming floor with 850 slot machines, 50 table games, a sportsbook, and over 100,000 square feet of conference and banquet space.

The resort also has two hotel towers with 411 rooms and more.
