(NewsNation) — David Harbour admits to having made “mistakes” in his life amid a split from Lily Allen, who’s accused the actor of infidelity.
Harbour spoke to Esquire Spain ahead of the final season of “Stranger Things” and was asked if he could change anything about his life, personally and professionally, would he?
“That’s such a hard question – the question of regret, or something,” Harbour told Esquire Spain. “I would change either everything or nothing.”
“You either accept your path completely and realize that even the pain and the slip-ups and the mistakes are all part of the journey, and that there’s truth and growth, wisdom and deeper empathy and connection in all that,” he told the publication. “It’s kind of like a house of cards; the minute you try to change one thing, you kind of have to change it all.”
Lily Allen alleges David Harbour had affair
The “Thunderbolts*” actor’s interview was published after the release of Allen’s album “West End Girl,” where she alleged that Harbour had an affair.
Allen and Harbour split up in December 2024 after four years of marriage.
Allen said she agreed to Harbour’s request for an open marriage if it was discreet and with sex workers, according to the Daily Mail. However, she accused Harbour of lying about wanting an open marriage to cheat on her.
Millie Bobby Brown says David Harbour was a bully
Prior to the filming of the last season of “Stranger Things,” Millie Bobby Brown formally lodged a complaint against Harbour, claiming harassment and bullying.
A representative for the “Enola Holmes” star was on set for the fifth season of the Netflix series. Season 5 of “Stranger Things” wrapped filming in December 2024.
Brown’s claims against Harbour did not include sexual harassment allegations.
Despite the claim, Harbour and Brown both praised each other last week at the Los Angeles premiere of the fifth season of the Netflix series.
“I’ve obviously had a really special bond with David because we have a father-daughter relationship, and we do every scene together,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
Speaking to ET, Harbour said he adores Brown and praised the rest of the cast.
“I’ve been proud to watch all of them grow up and become great artists. I doubt it will be the last time we’ll see each other in this world or work together,” he said.
